As a crucial member of our bakery’s front-of-house staff, you will play a key role in providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a delightful dining experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include guiding customers in choosing the perfect pastries and beverages, welcoming new visitors to our bakery, and enhancing brand recognition. In addition to utilizing your interpersonal skills, you will gain experience in various marketing strategies, support our baking team, and be part of a dynamic, team-oriented, and enjoyable work environment.

Duties:

• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
• Assist customers with menu recommendations and provide information on specials
• Serve food and beverages to customers promptly
• Handle cash and card transactions, including processing payments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area
• Follows company processes and procedures and has an eye for detail
• Maintaining and managing inventory to ensure the proper materials are stocked
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of order
• Assist with deliveries
• Prepare DoorDash orders
• Assist with marketing and community outreach efforts

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills
• Strong sales skills to promote menu items and upsell when appropriate
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and food handlers permit is a plus
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to be mobile and/or on your feet for extended periods of time during entire shift
